Partner with us

For founders, owners and borrowers who want to deal with the people who make the decisions.

We invest in established businesses across Asia. Whether you are seeking growth capital, a long-term shareholder, a credit facility or a permanent home for a company you have built, this page explains what we look for and how to approach us.

What we offer

What it means to be backed by Elite Prime.

Investors differ in how they behave once the money is in. These are the things our partners tell us matter most.

01

A decision maker across the table

You deal directly with the people who make the decisions. The investment committee meets weekly, and there are no external approvals between a first meeting and a commitment.

02

Capital that stays

We can participate in follow-on rounds, hold through a listing and remain on the register for years afterwards. Our horizon is set by your business, not by a fixed investment period.

03

Speed and certainty

Indicative terms in two to four weeks and completion in six to twelve. A signed term sheet from us is a commitment we are ready to fund.

04

Listing expertise

The firm's origins lie in preparing companies for the public markets. We bring practical experience of corporate structure, board composition and reporting standards to every growth investment.

05

Simple terms

We prefer clean equity and straightforward credit documentation. Our protection rests on governance and information rights, not on ratchets and redemption penalties.

06

Discretion

We do not publicise our investments without the company's agreement, and we treat every conversation as confidential from the first meeting.

Criteria

Is Elite Prime the right partner?

We would rather tell you quickly that we are not the right fit than waste your time. These lists are the screen we apply to every proposal.

Likely to be a fit

  • Established businesses with revenue, customers and a management team in place
  • Capital requirements of between US$5 million and US$150 million
  • Headquartered, or with substantial operations, in Hong Kong, Greater China, Singapore, Southeast Asia, Japan or Australia
  • Founders and management who want a long-term, aligned shareholder rather than a transactional investor
  • A clear use of proceeds: growth, acquisition, shareholder liquidity, refinancing or a path to listing

Unlikely to be a fit

  • Pre-revenue or concept-stage ventures
  • Businesses seeking an adviser, arranger or placement agent rather than an investor
  • Situations requiring hostile action against incumbent management
  • Structures designed to obscure beneficial ownership or the true use of funds

How it works

From first contact to funding.

Our normal pace is six to twelve weeks from first meeting to funding. We can be faster when a situation genuinely requires it.

  1. 01

    Send a short summary

A few paragraphs on the business, the capital required and its purpose. A deck is welcome but not necessary. We acknowledge every proposal that falls within our criteria within ten business days.

  2. 02

    First conversation

A call or meeting with the relevant deal team, usually within two weeks. We will be candid about fit, and about the terms we could realistically offer.

  3. 03

    Indicative terms

If there is mutual interest, we issue a short, plain-language term sheet within two to four weeks of the first meeting, subject to diligence.

  4. 04

    Diligence and committee

Commercial, financial, legal and reputational work, led by us and supported by advisers where needed. The investment committee approves the final terms.

  5. 05

    Completion

Documentation and funding, typically six to twelve weeks from the first meeting. A signed term sheet from us is a commitment we are ready to fund.

What to send

An initial review needs less than you might expect.

We do not need a polished data room to have a first conversation. The items listed here are enough for us to tell you whether we are likely to be interested, and on roughly what terms. Everything you send is treated in confidence from the first email.

  1. 01A description of the business, its market and its competitive position
  2. 02Two to three years of financial statements, audited where available
  3. 03The current capital structure and shareholder register
  4. 04The amount sought, its purpose and the proposed instrument, if you have a view
  5. 05The intended exit or liquidity path, where relevant
  6. 06Any timing constraints we should be aware of

Send us a proposal.

Every submission that falls within our criteria receives a considered response within ten business days.
