Sectors

We invest where we have done the work.

Sector focus is a discipline. We confine ourselves to industries in which we have followed the companies, met the operators and understood the economics, and we decline opportunities outside them however attractive they appear.

01

Financial Services

Specialty finance, wealth and asset servicing, insurance distribution and financial infrastructure across Asia.

We follow Hong Kong's financial ecosystem closely and understand its regulatory perimeter well. We look for businesses with recurring fee income, conservative financing and a clear licence to operate.

Themes we follow

  • Wealth and family office servicing
  • Payments and treasury infrastructure
  • Specialty lending platforms
  • Insurance brokerage consolidation

02

Technology & Software

Enterprise software, vertical SaaS, data infrastructure and technology-enabled services with proven commercial traction.

We invest in technology companies at the point where the product is proven and the remaining question is disciplined scaling. We prefer businesses that sell to enterprises, with contracted revenue and demonstrable retention, to consumer applications that depend on advertising spend.

Themes we follow

  • Vertical software for regulated industries
  • Enterprise data and workflow tooling
  • Cybersecurity and identity
  • Industrial and logistics technology

03

Healthcare & Life Sciences

Healthcare services, medical devices, diagnostics and commercial-stage life sciences in Greater China and Southeast Asia.

Ageing populations and rising healthcare spending across the region create durable demand. We focus on businesses with revenue today, such as clinic and hospital groups, device manufacturers, distributors and commercial-stage therapeutics, rather than on binary clinical outcomes.

Themes we follow

  • Specialist clinic and hospital networks
  • Medical devices and consumables
  • Diagnostics and laboratory services
  • Healthcare distribution and logistics

04

Consumer & Brands

Branded consumer businesses, premium food and beverage, and retail formats with pricing power and loyal customers.

We back consumer businesses with genuine brand equity, repeat purchase behaviour and sensible unit economics. We are cautious about categories that depend on subsidised customer acquisition, and we prefer companies that have shown they can raise prices.

Themes we follow

  • Premium food and beverage
  • Health, wellness and personal care
  • Omnichannel retail with owned brands
  • Hospitality and lifestyle assets

05

Industrials & Advanced Manufacturing

Precision manufacturing, industrial components, automation and supply-chain businesses serving regional and global customers.

The realignment of supply chains across Asia is creating opportunities for well-run manufacturers with quality certifications and diversified customer bases. We look for operators with engineering depth, conservative leverage and exposure to structural demand.

Themes we follow

  • Automation and robotics components
  • Precision engineering and tooling
  • Testing, inspection and certification
  • Specialty materials

06

Real Estate & Infrastructure

Income-producing commercial, industrial and logistics property, together with infrastructure-adjacent assets with contracted revenue.

Real assets are a core part of the portfolio. We favour supply-constrained locations, quality tenants and assets where active management can improve income, and we hold for the long term.

Themes we follow

  • Logistics and cold storage
  • Data centre and digital infrastructure
  • Central business district offices
  • Long-lease industrial

07

Energy Transition & Resources

Renewable generation, energy efficiency, storage and the resources that supply them, where the economics do not rely on subsidy.

We approach the energy transition as investors rather than advocates. We back projects and companies whose returns are supported by contracted offtake or a genuine cost advantage, and we avoid technologies whose economics depend on policy that may change.

Themes we follow

  • Contracted renewable generation
  • Commercial and industrial energy efficiency
  • Battery storage and grid services
  • Critical minerals supply chain

08

Business & Professional Services

Recurring-revenue service businesses with high customer retention, including outsourcing, compliance, education and testing.

Service businesses with embedded relationships and recurring revenue are often overlooked. We look for founder-led firms that have professionalised their operations and have room to consolidate fragmented markets.

Themes we follow

  • Compliance and regulatory services
  • Corporate and fund administration
  • Professional education and training
  • Facilities and technical services

Outside our focus

What we do not invest in.

We do not invest in businesses or projects we cannot understand well enough to own outright, and we exclude a number of activities on principle, whatever the return.

  • Pre-revenue or concept-stage ventures
  • Gambling, tobacco and adult entertainment
  • Controversial weapons and their components
  • Businesses dependent on regulatory arbitrage
  • Cryptocurrency trading and token issuance
  • Speculative land banking without income
  • Markets where we cannot enforce our rights
  • Structures that obscure beneficial ownership

Talk to the people who make the decisions.

If you are a founder, owner or borrower looking for an aligned investor with a long horizon, we would like to hear from you.
